| yep. Still in working order. :) | | |
| Look, an update! (How many people still actually look for these posts? My money is on not many.)
Wisdom from 231 Edgemere Ave.: Don't make more potatoes than you need. You don't need 15 lbs.
| We've been adopted! Kara and Jordan are now officially sisters. The same lady adopted both of us (poor lady). We started our email to her (we decided to write only one, don't push ourselves on her too fast, you know) with "Mom? Did you know that you adopted twins?" She called about 15 minutes after we sent the email and we talked for a while; she invited us to her house after the game on Saturday. We also have other siblings. She adopted a total of SIX college kids. It's quite probable that she either has a death wish, way too much food in the pantry (something that we can easily remedy), or is totally crazy. Whatever the issue, she is very nice. I'm excited about meeting her. She also has a daughter in high school; I have to wonder how she's taking all this.
Wisdom from 231 Edgemere Ave.: When one does not possess the resources to write a paper or do homework, the unfailing remedy is to watch a nice Disney movie (either Beauty and the Beast or Anastasia, we haven't decided yet) and forget about the hassles involved with said paper or homework.
| Alright. Here we go. Our first week of tests was slightly traumatic, but we handled it ok. (This may be partly due to the fact that some of them were put off for a few days due to the hurricane, but who's really to say?)
We've also decided that some of you have been right for years...we are lazy, worthless blobs of humanity. We're sitting here both in sweatshirts and soffee shorts, freezing to death, and we've been in the dorm room since 2:00. Jordan pretended to study and Kara alternately napped and abused the alarm clock that was trying to wake her up. A half hour nap turned into a two hour nap--with the alarm clock going off every 9 minutes...That was fun. We also just had dinner. With the serious effects produced here by Rita (meaning all of the clouds on Saturday and the beautiful weather today) we have a lot of non perishables around...like cereal and juice and muffins. Jordan just finished walking around eating Reeses Puffs from a very large bowl and Kara ate the last muffin and drank the rest of the white grape peach juice from the bottle. We actually stooped so low as to take pictures of ourselves doing this. My, my what a sad life we lead.
Wisdom from 231 Edgemere Ave.: Don't sit down to write a xanga entry with cereal that you plan on eating still sitting in the milk. Soggy city!
| helloooooo everybody! life is going great. Kara temporarily lost her keys to everything, but due to very nice aggies, they have been returned to her. Kara slept through her first college class this morning. She feels bad. Jordan doesn't have class until 11:30, so she made it, and only dosed slightly during the class. both of us are going to first yell tonight. Wish us luck that we won't get "mugged" down. (kissed by people we don't know) Some jerk at the midnight yell practice will turn off the stadium lights and that is your time to "go at it" with your date. Seeing as we are each others dates...that would be very weird. Yikesadoo! Good luck all you high schoolers tonight! march pretty for us, kids. | | |
